QuinuaQ's Goal: To give NGO Mama Alice a Sustainable Future
Many young adults in Ayacucho have had a tough childhood and lack a proper education. Therefore they are not able to generate a decent income. NGO Mama Alice gives them the opportunity to receive vocational training at QuinuaQ. QuinuaQ, the Hospitality Training Center, built by NGO Mama Alice), offers these young people the opportunity to train for chef, waiter or bartender; we teach them the theory and they get to 'practice' on the guests of the restaurant. This way they get a well-rounded training and they will be able to find a job elsewhere in the hospitality industrie, changing their own future and the future of all their dependents. At the same time QuinuaQ creates a sustainable financial basis for the future of NGO Mama Alice. In the future, QuinuaQ intends to build an Ecolodge and a Language School. All with a Heart and a Story.
Mama Alice and its Founder Frederique Kallen
Mama Alice Peru brings about sustainable changes for these children by improving their living situation and to increase their future possibilities we work together with other organizations such as schools.
"We work with underprivileged children in the Peruvian Andes mountains in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Ayacucho, Peru. The children have to deal with poverty, often accompanied by domestic violence, alcoholism, sexual abuse, poor hygiene and/or malnutrition. This has a major impact on their self-image, their educational results and future prospects." (Frederique Kallen, 2020)
With the help of Mama Alice Peru, the vicious poverty cicle is broken en the future perspective becomes more positive.
